Who Am I?
Who Am I?
I am a 52 year old woman who loves teaching yoga and meditation, loves working with kids, loves her husband and 5 sons and her stepdaughter, loves her dog and cuddles her cat on occasion.
I became curious about yoga almost 30 years ago. So when a fellow school teacher asked if I wanted to take a yoga studies class with her I said yes. That was only the beginning. Once I started practicing yoga on a regular basis my life changed. It’s cliche to say this, I know, but it’s true. My perspective about myself and the world around me shifted drastically. I gained clarity for the first time in my life.
I practiced yoga for 10 years before I took a yoga teacher training. At the time, I was taking 3-5 yoga classes a week, studying yoga texts and attending yoga workshops. My yoga teacher gave me the day and time of the first day of training and told me to be there. So I showed up.
Since then I’ve taken many yoga workshops and certifications, I’ve taken an advanced yoga teacher training and I’ve co-lead retreats and 200 hour yoga teacher trainings. I have taught over 8000 hours. It’s been a magical and clarifying journey, although not always easy.

Throughout the last 24 years yoga has always created a safe space for me to be me. From the very first class I’ve sensed a peace I do not find in other spaces. As a teacher, I hope to help create a space where you can find peace… a peace that stays with you and reminds you that you deserve to be well.
I’ve worked with children in some capacity since I was 16 years old. From volunteering at the catholic church daycare to supervising home programs and running trainings with over 100 attendees, I have always worked to support children to return to a healthy developmental path. In 2004 I joined a multidisciplinary clinic that focused on developmentally based interventions. In the next 15 years I attended countless conferences and trainings, received mentorship from high level experts in the field of DIR, the Neuro-Relational Framework, Sensory Integration, Speech Therapy and Developmental Psychology and Education. By 2008 I was running Parent and Professional Trainings on Developmental Based Intervention, Supervising Interventionists and creating individually tailored home programs, as well as consulting on school programs. When I am able to connect with families in their search for the right services, the right intervention and the right connection with their child, I often feel the same level of presence I feel in meditation and yoga. My goal is to bring these families a space where they can feel safe, connected and peaceful.
In 2019 I expanded my work and became a Certified Embodied Mindfulness Coach and Mentor. Along with yoga I have studied and practiced multiple styles of meditation for over two decades. It felt right to lead clients into spaces of more clarity, focus and contentment utilizing guided meditation. Through the practices and tools presented in Embodied Mindfulness sessions, Clients often realize answers to questions that have troubled them for decades. As in all other areas I work in, It brings me great peace to support clients to gain more clarity, connection and joy.
